Pointing Labrador Puppies: The Point is Real

Pointing Labrador Retrievers are the real thing. These purebred Labs have a natural instinct to point birds rather than flush them while still retaining all the retrieving ability they’re known for. Just like prey drive, birdiness, an affinity for water, or the ability to run field trial distances, the pointing tendency can be passed down from generation to generation. This video features pointing Lab puppies 8-20 weeks of age, all with little to no training on birds yet.
